What Gun Gear Did You Score Recently?

Picked this up from the "For Sale" table at the TMLRA state championships this year for $350.00

.40cal Lancaster style Flintlock, unknown builder, 42" swamped barrel, Siler lock, probably a 1970's build, took 3rd place with it shooting offhand with it at state championships, first time shooting it, with no load development. 😳

Nice rifle looks like a poor boy from Dixie gun works I have the same one in percussion shoots better than all my t/c

I picked up a used Greboe Renegade stock for 700 long action, came with Remington bottom metal for a good price. Probably use it for a 300 PRC project in the near future.

Picked up another .50 caliber t/c Hawkins like new at a show for $150 then had a elderly neighbor ask me if I was interested in a Remington 25-06 I told him I just bought another Hawkins needed to watch the money he said no you can just have it he said he had no use for it and no one to leave it to he's 83 the rifle was like new with the original Leopold scope on it he said his dad had given it to him I don't know if it has ever been fired well it has now lol but when he gave it to me I don't think it has been

My most recent revolver...model 36 Nickel with Sambar stag.

Nice I've a actually been looking at one that has the magnum cylinder with it they are asking 350 for it. It has some holster wear on it in a few but pretty clean still haven't jumped on it yet but definitely thinking about it love those old single sixes

I got a copy of Walnut And Steel II by Bill Ward. Very interesting book, both of them, on classic rimfires. TONS of history. Really enjoying it as I did vol. I.

I purchased a CVA Scout V3 6.5 Grendel single shot pistol online in early May, and it was defective. A barrel weld was cracked and the cartridge extractor caused excessive binding of the case while loading. (See Pics)
I called BPI Outdoors, as they are the marketing distributor for Bergara/CVA out of Lawrenceville, GA. Their rep said to send pictures of the defects, and replied by email that same day with an RMA authorization/shipping label for inspection and/or repair.
It took about two months to get a gunsmith assigned to review my weapon, but their gunsmith finally verified the broken weld and they sent me a replacement pistol. (See RMS action)
I plan on going to the range Saturday to sight-in the UTG pistol scope. I also have another CVA pistol in 357 Magnum that is very accurate. Triggers on these pistols are excellent.

Although it sounds like it took a bit to get it looked at, good on them issuing a replacement. I bet that one will be a shooter as well.
