Great books

Anyone who likes rimfires should have these books. Walnut And Steel by Bill Ward. Vol. I and II are long guns. Vol. III is handguns. They are so full of history and information on great guns of the past. HIGHLY recommended.

Note, I have no connection other than really enjoying them.

Walnut and Steel books are great for rimfire history. I read Vol III got ideas for my collection. Thanks for the rec.

Sounds like some real gems for a rimfire fan. Since you've dug into those volumes, did you come across any hidden stories or details that really stood out and made you appreciate rimfires even more?

There's an almost overwhelming amount of history and information. I wish my memory was better. I can't name any one thing but as a whole they are just great.

Another to add. The Art Of Rimfire Accuracy by Bill Calfee. Another GREAT book with so much information it's almost overwhelming. Unless you are one of THE rimfire experts you will learn a TON of stuff. Along with Mr. Ward's 3 books this should be on the shelf.
