Your neck. Everyone focuses on hands and feet but if your neck's exposed you're gonna be miserable. A good neck gaiter or buff is worth ten times what it costs. What body part did you learn the hard way to protect in cold weather?

I can’t stand anything around my neck so the gaiter is out ! I usually have a hood on my coats so I put it up if it’s really cold. I usually have a heater in my gun stands though so it’s generally not needed to hunt with. The next most important part, after your dome, is your extremities. Any glove is better than no glove, and warm boots are a necessity !

Your feet. Right footwear for the conditions. Just about nothing will take you out of a multi day hunt faster than boots that blister you up or leak like the Bismarck after the Swordfish were done with it.

feet, once i get to stand remove boots put on kuiu down packable booties u can sit there for ever and be warm

a friend of mine who was a real working cowboy in Montana and Wyoming would ride fence weeks at a time on really large ranches gave me a silk scarf one winter while we hunting. I think it's 40x40 and is like a multi-tool for warmth, fold it to a triangle with few rolls, tie it behind the neck and it will keep you warm, raise it up to cover your nose in the wind and dust or wrap you hands in it if your hands get cold. I can testify that it works and when it cold, it's one of the first things I make sure that I have. They're super light, and can serve like camo if your face is too exposed while keeping it warm. And they're inexpensive, fit in virtually any pocket, what's not to like?
