I like the rifle, but not the caliber, why / how did they come up with 303…. I guess they also made one in 30/30 but again why those caliber now days….. at least the 30/30 there’s ammo available for it 303 not so much. 303 brass is even tougher….
But nice gun.

They DO make it in 45/70

Not sure I'd want to shoot that gun with a full load designed for modern rifles like a Ruger No.1. Could very well be wrong.

The caliber is in keeping with who the gun was named after. I guess if it was an O’Conner it would be in .270 Win.
