I haven't dealt with armadillos personally, but I've heard live traps baited with fruit or worms work well. Place them along their paths near the damage. You might also try calling a wildlife removal service if trapping doesn't work
Thank you for the reply. I tried worms to no avail - he's a tricky SOB! I might set up a game camera to see what hours at night it's most active. We have been dry in Blanco county and every spot I try to water it attacks- likes the soft dirt to dig for grubs,etc.
Thanks - a neighbor loaned me a special armadillo trap she had ordered from Tennessee. It is a 31" X 12"W X 12"D wood box with trap doors at each end. It has a 3" hole at the top that a specially scented stick drops down into. I'm tech challenged and don't know how to send pics.. I had my doubts but have surprisingly now caught 2 in 2 nights!
