Sharing mags with my pistol is convenient

Same mags for my carbine and my Glock. So I only need one type and it makes logistics way easier. Is mag compatibility a big reason people buy PCCs?

My woods walking combo is a Henry rifle and a S&W 629 3” both in 44 magnum. Convenient they are both the same cartridge. Never really look for magazine compatibility.

Being able to use the same magazines was a big reason I bought it. One type of magazine, one pile of bullets, and less to worry about at the range

Using the same mags makes things simpler. When everything uses the same magazines, it’s simpler to manage and range days go more smoothly.

Magazine compatibility is a big reason some folks like pistol caliber carbines. Sharing mags simplifies your gear especially if you already carry that pistol regularly.
