There are some really good info mixed with terrible advice but it is hard to tell who actually knows what they're talking about.
 
Reddit has some good information if you can find it. I read a lot but double-check everything before I try it. Just because someone sounds sure of themselves online does not mean they know what they are talking about.
 
Getting gun advice on Reddit feels like a roll of the dice. One thread swears by BCM bolts, the next claims motor oil and Harbor Freight punches are must-haves for gunsmithing. Everyone’s got an opinion, just like on this forum.
 
Reddit’s useful maybe a third of the time but the catch is you never realize which advice is good until you’ve already tried the bad stuff yourself.
