Recommendations for PAWN SHOPS in the Austin area

are there good to great pawn shops in the Austin area, especially for 1911s?

I've stopped by a few pawn shops around Austin, and you can definitely spot some good 1911s if you're patient. Their prices vary but checking spots like Cash America or small local shops can surprise you. You been hunting yet?

no I havent, I've spent the week end riding on day trips in the vicinity. I found this incredible place in Bend, 15 miles south of Lometa, that had a bar, restaurant and awesome live music. one of the best atmospheres, so I wasnt gun hunting or even shooting!. but this week I'll go check Cash America, thanks for the suggestion

Unless you like Glocks, Taurus, and other plastic guns pickings are slim at the Pawn Shops I've been to in both Travis and Williamson. Money and More in Kyle has a large selection of firearms.

Gary's got a point, the Austin pawn shops are usually flooded with polymer pistols but for quality 1911 firearms near Austin, skip the typical pawn brokers, you can check out Money and More in Kyle, they frequently have a much larger selection of higher-end used guns than the average spot
