Preparedness is the boring adult stuff with things like your gas tank not on empty, batteries charged, food rotated and tools where you can find them. It’s not exciting, but it beats standing around saying “well, that sucks.”

I always try to keep my gas tank above half full. I learned that lesson the hard way after being stranded once. Same goes for keeping my tools and lights charged. It might seem annoying, but it's a lifesaver when you need it.
