A tale of two packages

I placed an order Sunday with Midway. I got notification early Monday an item I've been watching was finally back in stock. So another order. The Sunday order initially projected delivery Thurs. when placed. The Monday order projected Friday. Got an email this morning on the Sunday order saying updated and delivery will be tomorrow. Ok, now Wed. and Fri.

The interesting this is when you click the track button both orders on UPS website show the same latest update:
On the Way

10/14/2025, 3:55 A.M.

So it will be interesting to see when each arrives at the same exact spot when each left the same exact spot at the same exact time. Luckily for me I'm easily amused.

I have generally been please with shipping from Midway. Normally I get the packages before the original estimated arrival. They probably add a day or so to the expected date that way when it gets their early everyone is happy. I am ok with that also. The one and only time I had something get lost they immediately sent out a replacement. About a month later the original showed up. I called and emailed customer service and offered to ship it back. They said go ahead an keep it as they already claimed it on insurance. IT was a brick of 22 match ammo so I did not question it. They have been a really good company to do business with.

Yes, I agree. Unless prices are SIGNIFICANTLY different, or the rare instance they do not carry the product, I buy from Midway. They are top shelf all the way. This was aimed at UPS and how they say both went into their hands at the same exact time but delivery at the other end is 2 days different to the same exact spot.

I haven’t been that lucky on items shipped with USPS. It seems like they sit a day or two after I get my notice of “label created”. I’m quite sure it’s the diligent employees of the Pony Express at fault.

I just now got an update and both will be delivered today. I'd seen tracking earlier showing arrival in Houston at 0dark:30 this morning and the one had been saying deliver today since Monday. The other kept saying Friday. But in the latest update both say today. We will see.
