So I wandered into Livengood’s in Lockhart the other day…

…and found a JC Higgens Model 50. I’d previously owned this rifle, but traded it for something else last year-needless to say, I rapidly kicked my own butt whipping out my wallet to buy it back! I’m not saying never sell, I’m saying think carefully before you do!

Ironically, I was there to check on my Ted Williams Model 53 I’d won on GB, so it seems I’ve now got two very nice vintage .30-06 rifles. I’m very ok with that.

Great story. Glad you were able to get it back. I had a similar regret on a 7mm-08 Remington. It showed up on GB in Colorado about a year later. At a much higher price . I haven't seen it since......

I use to do business with Livengood's when a buddy ran the gun department. Cool place.

I’m looking forward to getting back out on the range. Also want to see if I can find another 1903a3…foolishly traded mine off and want another one. I really don’t love my Garand
