Does any one have the instruction sheet for the vintage Magnum Hunting Products EZ Set Digital Feeder Timer. Sorry I don't have a photo of the timer. It was the first iteration of their digital feeder timers. There was a set of buttons used to set up feed times and days and it had a red light that would show under "Auto" as I recall. The company was in Stafford. Tx and we would go there to buy their products and parts. The EZ Set was replaced by the Silver and Platinum timers later and we switched all our feeders to those versions. The original owner sold the company that moved it to Rosharon, but he doesn't have any instructions for older Magnum Feeders. Before the original owner sold it he gave me a number of the older timers that had been sent back for repair, which he replaced with newer versions per his warranty. I have several that I repaired and have plans to offer them up free as pay it forward on some sites I'm on and would like to have the instructions. The set-up is not exactly straight forward like the newer digital timers available now. I remember you had to push one of the buttons to sequence to a point where it was ready. Any help with a pdf, jpeg or other format instruction sheet would be very much appreciated. The timers are at my deer lease and I meant to bring them back so I could photograph one, but I was diagnosed with melanoma and had to have surgery the end of October and missed hunting season recovering. Thanks.

Check with local feed stores or longtime lease holders around Stafford/Rosharon. Someone may still have paperwork tucked away and can snap photos of the instructions and I wish you a quick recovery.

Thanks for the suggestions, Landon. The problem is these timers were discontinued in the late 90's. Vendors and sellers of the timers didn't have the instructions. One of the guys on the lease managed the feed store in Flatonia and after he became acquainted with mine he stocked them. I have posted the request on the Texas Hunting forum as well, but no response thus far. Academy sold them for years, but when the family sold Academy the new owner discontinued the contact with Magnum and had proprietary feeder timers made in China. I can write the instructions and maybe include photos if I get no replies with the instruction sheet. Thanks again.

I checked the feeder parts pile in the barn yesterday. Unfortunately came up with zero. I guess when we swapped over to newer feeders a number of years back the old parts and documentation got purged.

Thanks for checking. I assume you're still using Magnum Feeders?

You bet.

Not any longer. Swapped over to Hang Em' Highs with "The Timer" and recent additions were stand and fills from All Seasons. Standardized all the components (timers, motors, solar panels, etc) to manage the spares more effectively and always have access to new parts at most feed stores in a pinch.

That makes sense. We all have the newer Magnum Hunting Products feeders with similar thoughts in mind. The fellow that bought the company is in Rosharon right on the way when we drive up to the lease west of New Braunfels via Alt 90; we I10 like the plague! BTW Are you all plagued with hogs where you hunt? We have put up motion lights. My brother has more time to hunt and has taken about 30 so far. I have only shot two, one of which showed up in daylight during deer season. Thanks again! Stay safe and good hunting!

We are North of you in Burnet County and the hog numbers fluctuate wildly from year to year primarily dependent on rainfall. Most years we shoot / trap 60 to 100. If memory serves our highest count was around 160. Last year we ended up at 46. Slow start this year which doesn't bother any of us (or the other wildlife I'm sure). We have hog lights at most all of our stands but rarely night hunt unless the cameras show us a solid pattern. We put constant pressure on them so unfortunately the older ones are pretty well educated.

Your welcome and good luck finding the instructions!

I finally found some instructions for the Magnum Hunting Products EZ Set Digital timers. I came up to the deer lease to fill some feeders, take care of some maintenance and try to kill some hogs. While I'm here I got out the feeder timers I had repaired 5 or 6 years ago and checked them out using the instructions. They both work perfectly. I going to see if I can find some boxes to put them in and I'll put motors on them as well. While I was at it I took photos of the timers. Maybe some will recognize them.
