Turkey/meat/card shoots

They used to be real popular here about 40 or 50 years ago but sadly don't seem like anyone does them anymore I'm in Beaumont and have thought about trying to get one started but just can't find enough people interested

The Alamo Muzzleloading gun club in LaCoste had one every year, but current Executive Committee has kicked out more members than they have admitted in recent years, including me, and they don't appear at all interested in attracting new members, promoting their events, or growing the club.I believe some of them want the club to dwindle and fail, so they can sell off the property and assets. What a shame!

I remember when the Turkey shoots were a big deal and so many people showed up to compete and watch the events. Seems that PRS, ELR and F-Class along with other venues have taken the over.
Bayou Rifles has a lot of different competitions and fun shooting events for rifle, pistol fun. For members and non members. Great ranges with a lot of diversity!
