If you've bought Texas-made before, I'd like to hear about your experience and what local builders put out good work?

I got this one used after selling my C2. Nothing particularly wrong with the C2 just wanted bigger.

Here’s one a little older.
Made by the Dance brothers in 1860’s
at their shop on the banks of the Brazos at East Columbia. .44 cal, I think.

LaRue Tactical rifles are really good and they're built strong with crazy accuracy. When it comes to pistols, Staccato, which used to be STI makes the best 2011s around, hands down.

I like my 920XR by Shadow Systems
I'm visiting Hayes Customs 45 minutes north of Austin this week
there is quite a number of other Texas-based gun companies, but their names escape me at the moment

Rost Martin builds a good 9mm semi in three different models. I have two of them and carry both at different times. They are Glock 17 size if I’m not mistaken. Made in Dallas.
