I live in Addison on the north side of Dallas. I'd like to hear opinions about the two outdoor ranges nearest me. The only one I've been to is the Garland Public Shooting Range. The other range is Elm Fork Shooting Sports. I' never been to Elm Fork. It is closer in miles but due to the traffic both are about a 25 minute drive during the work week.
Can anyone give me their opinion of the relative merits of these two for centerfire rifle shooting?

I don’t have personal experience, but most folks say Garland is simpler and less crowded, while Elm Fork has more space, lanes and longer yardages for rifles

East of Dallas is the Terrell Rifle & Pistol Club, which is a great private range - https://terrellrifleandpistolclub.net/

If you are willing to drive a bit southeast of Dallas, there is the Big Rock Gun Club. Another great private club where you can shoot steel and paper all the way out to 600 yards. https://brgc.net/

The nice thing about both of these clubs is that there will be times during the week when you're there, and you might be the only person shooting. I usually have the 100-yard and 200-yard ranges at TR&PC to myself, and the same at BRGC on the 600-yard range. However, weekends are a different story at both of them, but still plenty of availability to shoot.
