First day of dove season

I wasn't able to make it out today, but I will try tomorrow evening if we don't get any more rain.

I have this old French 'guild gun' in 20ga 2.5"....crazy light and seriously beat up. Trouble is I just love the thing and every Sept 1st I find a corner of the wee bijou ranchette and try to kill a couple of close ones.
Didn't work out this morning - very foggy, humid etc.
Maybe tomorrow?
I'll post pics of the shotgun soon.

Here's that rascal...warts and all :

Plenty of 'character' for sure but somehow a lot to love
Very unusual for a French gun of this period to be in 20ga.
They were almost all 16's
