I recently got a 3" SS .327 Fed Mag Ruger SP101. I read about Speer Gold Dot 115gr ammo for it. Discontinued. AmmoSeek said one place still had it. Clicked and went to their site. Yep, one box. In the whole country. At least know to AmmoSeek. So I ordered the unicorn. Got shipping information about an hour ago. Tracking should be active later tonight. It's for carry so probably won't be fired unless they bring it back. Or someone else demands in their own way that I fire it.

Nice score, are you going to keep that box sealed as a carry backup or fire a round or two to verify function and point of impact?

I own a Ruger SP101 327 Fed Mag with 4.2″ barrel. I found that Federal American Eagle 100 gr. ammo is very dirty. I also have a S&W M&P 357 Sig semi-auto that I shoot using Speer LE Gold Dot 125 gr. ammo, and find it to be fairly clean. Since you will be using it as your personal carry weapon, any bad guys surely won't care whether that Gold Dot is dirty or clean fired from your SP101!

No, I'm sure they won't inquire. Hopefully I'll have all twenty rounds to pass along to a grandson eventually though. I'm going to be adventurous, or stupid, not sure which yet, and load my own using Missouri Bullet Co. 78gr. hard cast coated bullets for the range. I'll load them into .32 H&R brass and it will be 20.x cents each. Give or take a 0.x. Twenty cents is better than .22WMR ammo. Won't match the dime for quality .22lr but still not bad. If I use .327 brass it ups it to about a quarter each.
