Any Ruger SP101 owners?

I've got a 3" SS .327 Fed Mag ordered that should arrive in a day or three. I plan to get the Hogue rubber monogrip for it. Are there any other upgrades that should be researched and considered? Thanks for any/all input.

Good choice. I put a Hogue grip on mine and swapped to fiber optic front and ghost ring rear, I also had a light trigger job, and use speedloaders plus a good belt holster

I picked it up and it is nice. A very good looking gun. The grips are a bit small and a bit hard. The Hogue will serve it well I believe. I'm considering sending it to Mcarbo for their package of springs and polishing. They tell me the polishing fully smooths and cleans up everything. And since we are here in a mostly sensible state I can send it direct to them and they can send it direct back to me without any FFL interaction and expense.

I have a SP101 .357. I too have a fiber optic front sight. Mine has no place for a rear Ghost Ring sight, all it has is a groove in the top strap. I'd appreciate any suggestions you might have. Thanks, Don

Looking at the top strap, I think a cut to allow the mounting of a real rear sight would seriously weaken it. Don

Don't mess with a SP101, just shoot it till you can't shoot no more
