Listings may only be posted in the designated classifieds forums, must use a For Sale or Want To Buy prefix, and For Sale ads must include at least one photo of the actual item. Put the asking price in the listing — "PM for price" listings may be removed.
Each item gets one thread. If your listing expires, use Relist on the original thread instead of posting a new ad. Relisting keeps the same URL, photos, and discussion. Duplicate listings are removed.
Reply-bumping ("bump", "ttt") does not help your listing and clutters the thread. Use the Still Available button on your listing instead — it refreshes your expiry and moves your ad up, and is available on a cooldown.
Mark your listing Sold (or Found for Want To Buy ads) promptly, and record the buyer if they are a member. This keeps the classifieds accurate and enables trade feedback for both parties. Withdrawing an item instead? Use Withdraw and pick a reason — your listing stays as a record and you can relist it any time.
After a completed deal, both parties are asked to leave trade feedback. Feedback is the backbone of trust here — leave it, and expect it.
Do not post links to your ad on other sites, and do not steer buyers off the forum to complete a deal that started here. Off-forum deals cannot be covered by trade feedback and are a common source of disputes.
Do not post your email address or phone number in a listing. Use forum conversations to exchange contact details privately once you have a serious buyer. Posted contact info attracts scrapers and scammers and may be removed for your protection.
You may update your listing's price and details while it is open. Sold listings are a record of the deal and are not deleted or blanked. If something in a completed listing genuinely needs to change, contact a moderator.
Moderators may edit, move, close, or remove listings that break these rules. Repeat problems can lead to loss of classifieds privileges.
