Protein or corn feeders

I’ve messed around with both protein and corn feeders over the years and I’ve seen different results depending on the season. Corn brings deer in fast but protein seems to help them hold to an area longer (at least in my experience) But still I’m not sure which one truly makes the bigger difference long-term

Corn is like candy but protein is what grows racks. I mix roasted soybeans with corn to get them interested while also giving them nutrition

I have learned that different deer like different protein pellets, but nearly all of them like roasted beans or corn. I fed corn all year this year here at home for the first time ever. I also fed protein all year. They stopped using the protein about August but cleaned the corn up every day. I have a couple of does that are “never fails” for eating the corn, but I suspect that all of them will come back to the protein in a month or two.
