Any motorcycle enthusiasts around here? mine is a 2023 HD Fatboy, with a stage 2 boost. Freaking love it. I had a sissybar and a windshield installed and changed the seat to something more comfortable

so now it looks like this

I thoroughly enjoy hunting forums where we converse, share ideas and experiences about hunting and shooting and loading etc. I quit participating as much on Long Range Hunting because posts became either political or talking about their Harley upgrades etc. I hope that this forum stays more focused on the intended subject areas. If I want to read about other topics, I happily go to a forum focused on that subject. We’ll see

A Fatboy with Stage 2? That's a serious bike, man
Oh yeah

the day I got it I took it on a short test ride on highway 45 and highway 130, where the speed limit is 85mph. there was virtually nobody on the road, the sun was pleasantly warm, no wind, the road was in great shape... Wont say how fast I went, but the exhilaration was just epic. And the noise, man, the noise!!!

No disrespect intended BrotherHubb, but this is the off topic chatter area. I find I have more in common with folks on gun forums on a variety of topics… in the proper channel of course.

Does get a little noisy above 120… I’ve heard.
I have done 120 several times but not above, unfortunately because there were cars in the way
Plus roads in the US are not superb like in Holland or in France... which means above a certain speed, the smallest bump on the asphalt is a distraction that prevents me from going full full full speed. And here, there are small and big bumps everywhere even on tollways!

As far as the noice, I wouldnt know because I wear ear plugs. I think it's noisy because whenever I gorget those, I'm like wow this is loud! But the rumble I can still feel so I'm a happy camper

If you are in the Blanco area one of these days, come visit and we'll trade bikes, the road to Johnson City is cool to ride

I hadn’t thought about mostly like minded folks wanting to share their experiences from different subjects on this forum of common interests. I humbly defer to a wider audience and subject matter. I too have quite a bit of experience with the sublime focus of riding a proper motorcycle at high speed, 170 was my top speed and hitting the apex, on the gas and everything in perfect equilibrium is a state that cannot be expressed in words. Rubber down.

Not a problem. It was just an observation. Wow, that sounds like a fun ride on a track. On the road I am a firm believer in what Chuck Yeager said.
“There are old pilots. There are bold pilots. There are few old, bold pilots.”
Now if I could just buy a house in an area where folks all had my interests! :ROFLMAO:

Had a Chief of Police friend who was a little crazy, Hayabusa, turbo charged with nitrous and he regularly used both. He also carried a Marlin 45-70 lever gun as his duty rifle and of course a 1911, he was the Chief and married a Native American woman, Cherokee I think. Interesting life, now retired but probably still rides the bike.

No kidding about the few places left. On the Busa… wow! I just don’t have the skill or the self-control. LOL
I know that some TXDPS/Rangers still had 30-30 Winchesters up to the mid 80’s. If you get a chance and have not seen it, the Ranger museum in Waco has a huge collection including what has to be “BBQ guns”.
Some of those 1911’s are more blinged out than any rapper would be comfortable with. :ROFLMAO:
